Our Institute. MPEI.
I’m a first-year student of the Moscow Power Engineering Institute. It has got a very high reputation all over the world. The MPEI was founded in 1930 in Moscow. Today the MPEI is the largest Russian Power Engineering University and a leading scientific centre. Now about 15,000 students are trained in the MPEI, and about two thousand foreign students among them. The MPEI gives the students the highest standard of academic education and professional training. Here they have got great possibilities for carrying out their research work and its implementation.
There are 7 institutes in our University. I’m a student of the Electrical Engineering Faculty. 5000 students can live in our students’ hostels. We also have a sport club. It has got all modern facilities for going in for sports: a stadium for outdoor sports activities, gymnasiums for indoor games, tennis courts, a swimming pool, a shooting gallery and a tourist club.
Our University has many traditions and a rich history. There are experienced tutors and instructors who help students plan and organize homework material.
The academic year consists of two semesters of about 20 weeks. We have a lot of subjects being English, higher mathematics, chemistry, information technology, engineering graphics, physical training, physics. I’m good at engineering graphics.
I am proud of being a student of the Moscow Power Engineering Institute.
